an organisation founded by Alan Ruddock

Our Instructor: John Meldrum (3rd Dan)
John started Aikido 30 years ago. He has also trained in Boxing and Judo.

Our Technical Directors
Sensei Alan Ruddock and Sensei Henry Kono both trained with the founder of Aikido - Morihei Ueshiba O’Sensei (1883 – 1969) in Japan in the 1960’s.

History
The Cork Aiki Dojo was founded by a group of like minded friends who wanted to pursue and learn a particular style of Aikido back in 2003.
In other words, they wanted to follow the same path of "Ai Ki", or spiritual harmony.
Most of the founding members began training under John Meldrum in UCC Aikido Club and in Cork Institute of Technology Aikido Club before the Cork Aiki Dojo was formed
